So what have I been upto???

The last I posted was August 10th. Its exactly one month since.... basically haven't posted much this semester... so where have I been...

Initially when the semester started, there was a lot of confusion and rush for getting the right courses, matching the slots , ensuring you had minimum 7:30 classes, deciding the tradeoff between QoS(Quality of subject) and the expected grade... aneways the first week passed, listening to the stories of different people, what had they done on their internship, telling them yours.... :) and ofcourse sleeping.

I had come to know about the Google Gadget contest in the summers itself, when it was launched, but it was only in the second week that I realized that the deadline was extended to August 14th. So why don't give it a try, I thought. Downloaded the SDK, decided upon the idea.... and then after several nightouts and dayouts too this was the result..... submitted it to Google and this was the prize... nice!!!! atleast it was the first time my efforts got rewarded.

Meanwhile I was also planning to go home... My cousin brother was getting married on 12th and my cousin sister was getting engaged on 21st.... I had to decide between coming back and staying back... the former had the advantage of not missing too may calsses and the latter ensured good food, sleep and unlimited pampering for a substantial period.... so after a lot of deliberations I decided upon the latter and set on my journey of dreams..... DREAMS... yes beacuse going home for a wedding is like a dream come true. All your relatives are there, all your cousins, all happy, and when you are the youngest and have just returned from states... you tend to get pampered... so was I... but the journey back was awesome... My Ipod lasted till the very end... Yo Apple... yo rock dudes!!!.... aneways just on reaching home... there was a function going on.... dhols were being sounded at full blast... I stepped out from the car.... ran inside... hugged my favourite cousin on the way.... threw my bag.....threw my shades... and started dancing.... wow....as I am writing this post... I am feeling the same way... wow that was awesome... and after that it was rocking for the next 10 days.... shopping for the wedding... get the small small tasks done.... managing the function... ensuring that bhiya's salis didn't pester him much... recording all the fun on my new camcorder..... and then afterwards teasing bhiya in front of bhabhi..... ufff... awesome... and ya also the engagement on 21st was awesome... danced my heart out... and everybody said that we were looking awesome... waiting for the pics to come... jaldi bhejo yaar.. missing you all at home...

Came back on 23rd.... every thing had piled up... there was a presentation in 2 days... and assignments to submit.... a week flew past without me knowing... but finally caught up... then there was the dep intro to be held... first we had planned it for 1st but then shifted it to 7th Sep. This week saw 2 tests.. assignments... prepration for intro... basically nothing interesting.... but I had already started on my second Gadget... It so happens that if you use Gmail... and have labels... and a mail comes to your labels, then the Gtalk notifier doesn't notify you.... this had been troubling me for a long time now... so I have made a gadget that informs you even when a mail comes to your labels... by saying.. You have got mail you can even read the title.. sender and a short snippet of the mail itself in the gadget right on your desktop.... I have submitted it to Google.. but no reply though as fo yet... will be integerating the facility of reading the whole mail itself in the gadget after midsems...

Midsems.... this is one thing that haunts me now... haven't read anything till now.. and they start from friday... lag hui hain baap.... aneways... haven't seen any movies.. neither Omkara.. nor munna bhai.... I feel I am becoming a nerdy type of a character.. but its good because it keeps me busy and helps me to forget the dumpfull past..:) also saw the picture of Dhamani's enagement... bahut mast lag rahe hain Dhamani da... wish you a happy married life.... and lot of good stuff is floating around on the net... my subscriptions are growing like anything.... basically I read a lot of stuff about Google... and also a few good songs are around.. Kya Mujhe Pyar hain from Woh Lamhe and Tere bin from Bas ek bal... and also theres a marked marked difference when you listen to songs on Ipod... aneways midsems get over most probably on 20th... and DP starts on 29th.. till 8th... I don't know whether I would be going home or not... depends... and ya waiting for new episodes of How I met Your Mother... Robin rocks.... and a last thought... I have really started liking this line... Life sucks... and then you Die..
